Meet Dr. Kia Mitchell

Dr. Mitchell is an experienced family medicine physician with a passion for aesthetic wellness. She empowers her patients to look and feel their best enhancing confidence, restoring balance, and helping them fully enjoy life’s everyday moments.

Dr. Kia Mitchell is a skilled, Double Board-Certified Medical Physician and Obesity Medicine Physician. After graduating from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology pre-med, she moved on to the University of Miami, School of Medicine where she received her medical doctorate in 2002. She returned to her lifelong home of Jacksonville, FL to complete her residency in family medicine at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She spent ten years as an attending physician in the ER at Memorial Hospital. During this same time, Dr. Mitchell became the medical director for Kids and Families Medical Center. In 2020, she founded Families First Medical Group where she offers comprehensive care to men, women, children, and the elderly. Shortly after, she opened Limitless Me Wellness, a full-service aesthetic spa. In 2021, she earned her board certification in obesity medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Mitchell, her husband, and four children enjoy sporting events, music concerts, and traveling together.

Specialties and Expertise

Dr. Kia Mitchell specializes in family medicine. She has vast experience treating men, women, and children in all aspects of life, which she does at Families First Medical Group. Here, she is passionate about providing disability determination and care for United States veterans and is also an authorized civil surgeon and performs immigration medical examinations. At Limitless Me Wellness, she aspires to provide men and women individualized care to meet them where they're at in life's journey so they can live life to the fullest. 

Societies and Certifications

Myeshia Carter, APRN

Myeshia Carter is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is also certified in Advanced Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Originally from Memphis, TN she completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Middle Tennessee State University. After completing her undergraduate degree she spent 7 years as a registered nurse working in Fields including cardiac stepdown, intensive care unit, and post-anesthesia care unit. She went on to complete her Master's in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University. In her spare time, Myeshia enjoys traveling, reading, and binge watching Netflix series. She is a happily married military spouse and enjoys spending time with their two daughters and two dogs.
